emailed invoice are being send over over again

My client calling saying that they received over 5000 emails so far, invoices are being sent over and over again.

How do i get this this to stop?

 

I sent myself same of the invoices and I've got over 300 emails in the past 30 minutes.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), each invoice you send is intended to be sent only once, xparcel.

 

Since you are also receiving multiple emails for a single invoice when sending it to your email, I recommend trying to send an invoice through QBO using a different supported browser to check if this issue is browser-related.

I tried calling and talking to a live support, but they are closed until Monday morning.

I've since got 1000 more emails and they keep on coming every minute with about 6 different invoices.

There are three possible scenarios for why this kind of automation is happening, xparcel.

 

If you are using QuickBooks Online Advanced, we can visit the custom workflow to see if there is automation set up to send invoices automatically. Follow the steps below:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under Tools, select Manage workflows.
  3. Check any settings that could be the reason for the automation, and disable it.

 

We can also try turning off the Invoice reminder, this could be also the reason behind the automation of invoices that's happening.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Go to Account and Settings.
  3. Select the Sales tab.
  4. In the Reminders section, Turn off automatic invoice reminders.

 

The other reason could be recurring invoice transactions, which may have been the cause. To check this, follow the steps below:  

 

  1. In the left side panel, go to Transactions.
  2. Select Recurring transactions.
  3. Then check if there's a recurring transaction that has been made.
  4. Either Pause or Delete the recurring transaction.

emailed invoice are being send over over again

I'm having the exact same problem. Tried sending a routine invoice via email this morning, and it's been sending it over and over, once per minute, ever since. So far over 700 of the same invoice sent to our customer since this morning. They are going to lose their minds tomorrow. The suggestions posted above made no difference. Quitting and restarting Quickbooks hasn't done anything. Rebooted, deleted the invoice, nothing matters ... it just keeps emailing over and over. Naturally there's no support available, and the AI chatbot is rage-inducing at best. 

 

To be fair, I kind of expect this level of disappointment from Intuit at this point. Quickbooks used to be great but now it's abhorrent. We can't wait to switch to something, ANYTHING will better than Quickbooks. 

 

This is just the latest example of Intuit's incompetence. The product just keeps getting worse.

We understand that having invoices repeatedly sent to a customer is not ideal, Tinarg. Let's check the Account and Settings to adjust and manage the recurring invoices.

 

We'll be turning off the email service in QuickBooks Online to help manage repeated invoice emails.

 

To do it, please be guided by the steps below:

 

  1. Tap on the Gear icon at the top right corner of your dashboard, then select Account and Settings.
  2. In the left menu, click on the Sales tab.
  3. Find Online delivery and select the pencil icon to edit.
  4. Under Email Options for Invoices, temporarily adjust the settings to prevent automatic emails from being sent.
  5. Save your changes to ensure that these new settings are applied.

  1. In your QBO, click on the Help icon (?) in the upper right corner of your dashboard.
