Error Message

I admit I am an amateur but find Quick books fairly easy to use.....until recently!  I have installed Quick Books Pro 2017.  When I try to open Quick Books I get an error message that says:  "Quick Books Desktop has reached the expiration date and will no longer open company files.  Can anyone help?

It is possible your license subscription is expired, unless you have a one time (outright) license. If you are using Windows 8 or 10, try reinstalling it to run in Win 7 compatibility mode.

The message you're seeing means that you're either in an unsupported version of QuickBooks Desktop or your subscription has expired. You can download a supported version or check out your subscription status from your Customer Account Management Portal (CAMPS). Follow these steps:

 

  1. Sign in to camps.intuit.com.
  2. Ensure you're signed in with the email you used to register this version of QuickBooks Desktop.
  3. Find your app or subscription in the Products & Services list.
  4. Select Details, then Download.

 

You can also log into your Intuit account to check if your license is suspended due to payment failure. If suspended, you'll have to update your payment details in your account.
