Hello almadvisory,
It's important you know why the bank transactions are appearing as you've described. I'll be happy to share more info on this so you can continue to reap the amazing benefits of our powerful banking module.
The transactions in your QuickBooks bank feed are downloaded from your bank. I'd recommend checking to see if the transactions are showing up the same way on your bank's end. If they're not, I recommend clearing cache and cookies on your browser as this may be a display issue that is normally caused by cache and cookies. I encourage you to clear cache and cookies using the steps included in this article here. Let me know how you make out after trying this.
I'll be a message away in case you need further assistance. Otherwise, I wish you a great rest of the week!
Thank you,
I tried your solution but it did not fix the issue. CIBC will be blocking numbers in the transaction description moving forward when using the automatic download feature
I appreciate you trying that. Just so we're on the same page, did you receive this confirmation from CIBC?
Quickbooks customer support via web chat told me to reach out to CIBC because the data is now encrypted by the bank. I am not the account holder so I can't have a specific conversation with CIBC about the issue. The additional X's appear on both the bank and credit card downloads.
I see what you're saying. It's good you've reached out to our customer support team. I'll be here in case you have other questions. Otherwise, I wish you a great rest of the week.
