Hi ronmac,

 

Glad to see you back in the Community! I know how important it's to have a perfect tracking system for your inventory needs. QuickBooks Online has several powerful tools to help you stay on top of your day-to-day tasks. I'll be happy to share more on this.

 

When setting up an inventory item in QuickBooks Online, you have the option to assign a class and to choose a particular category for it. At the moment, there isn't any option available to assign a location. I can see how this would have benefited your business, and I invite you to submit feedback directly to our engineers. We are always adding new features to the program, and your opinion helps a lot with that.

 

Feel free to also to visit our Apps menu to explore any third-party app that could better assist you with your task.

You may need an additional app to manage multi warehouses and integrate it with your QBO account.

PLEASE ADD THIS FEATURE!  Inventory location is very important to many types of businesses.

Eg: Retail floor/showroom space or warehouse location!!!  Huge flaw with quickbooks

Afaik, we will find this feature next year for QBO US version. It may take longer time available for other regions. A 3rd party app is a better option for the time being.

Hi there fgallery,

 

Keeping track of your inventory in stock is an important part of managing your sales. QuickBooks Online gives you the option to track inventory items so that you know when an order would need to be placed with your supplier. I can point you in the right direction.

 

If you were to want to track your inventory at different locations, one way would be to create a separate product for an item at each location. As mentioned by Fiat Lux - Asia, a third-party app could also help you with managing inventory in different locations. You can find a selection of apps that are able to connect with QuickBooks Online by navigating to the Apps tab.

 

I can see that having inventory tracked n multiple locations is a feature that would help you manage your business within QuickBooks Online. I recommend you leave feedback in the system by clicking on the Gear Icon, then Feedback. Comments made in this section are taken into consideration by our developers when designing new features for QuickBooks Online.
