We deleted a memorized transaction that was no longer needed. However, EVERY time we open Quickbooks, the transaction pops up in the "Enter Memorized Transaction" window. If we "Enter Now" it says it's invalid so pops up again next time we start QB. I tried to re-create the memorized transaction just so it could be entered, cleared from the list and then deleted but it still comes up as invalid. Any way to clear this out?

Thanks LauraAB.
I didn't want to turn off the memorized transaction reminders as we have several others that we do want to see.
I was able to clear the unwanted memorized transactions by rebuilding the data file.
Thanks for your assistance.
Hello Canadyne,
I love that you've taken the initiative to begin troubleshooting on your own. I can appreciate how having a transaction that keeps appearing after you've deleted it would be a nuisance and I've got some additional troubleshooting you can do to try to tackle this.
To begin, I'd like you to take a look at your settings. There's a Reminders setting that'll keep pinging you, even if you've deleted the memorized transaction, so it's a good place to start. By toggling this off, it may help sort this out.
Once you're done with that, try closing out and reopening the company file to see if that same prompt returns. If not, try the following.
There's a process used for QuickBooks Desktop called Re-Sort Lists. This can help with working out any errors that may have occurred in the lists. I also recommend trying the steps for re-sorting the master list. Both of these are outlined in the following article: Re-Sort Lists
Next, I'd like you to check for data damage to your company file. Data damage can sometimes cause strange errors like this where things seem stuck. I have an article that can walk you through the steps and let you know what to do should there be any damage detected: Resolve data damage with your QuickBooks Desktop company file
Finally, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the program. I only recommend taking this step if you're using a supported version of the program or have the original install disc or file handy if it's an older version. To see what versions of the program you can download, check here: Download QuickBooks Desktop
Finally, get in touch with QuickBooks Desktop support for further troubleshooting. Learn more about support policies, hours, and contact details here: Intuit QuickBooks Desktop software support policies
Enjoy the rest of your day!
Thanks LauraAB.

It's my pleasure. :) I'm glad to hear it worked out! It completely makes sense that you wouldn't want to turn off the reminders since you have other recurring transactions of this type. Let me know if there's anything else you need.
