I dropped payroll from my subscription. How do I stop error messages about tax table updates? Updating software didn't help.
Actually, I did find a number for QuickBooks Canada support (not in the online help or the support options from the help menu, but whatever). It turned out that Intuit had not updated my license info to say that I no longer had the Payroll option. They updated the server, and when I sync'd my license info, it finally worked properly.
