Is there a way to remove the total on Estimates?

We have different options on our estimates and when it totals everything up it confuses the customers. I would like to remove the Subtotal and Total lines from Estimates.

Is there a way to remove the total on Estimates?

Hello, @ajschmitt82.

Yes, we have an option to remove the Subtotal line items on the Estimate.

If you're referring to the Subtotal line item under the Amount column, you can remove it by clicking the delete icon next to the Subtotal item. To ensure it doesn’t appear again in the future,  leave the Add subtotal button unselected.

But if you're referring to the Subtotal at the bottom, you can remove it by unchecking the Discount field.

Here's how:

  1. On the Estimate page, scroll down to the bottom and select Customize.
  2. Choose Edit current.

  3. A prompt will appear; just click Yes. You will be taken to the Customization page.

  4. From there, go to the Content section.
  5. Select the third part of the estimate model.
  6. Uncheck the box for Discount.
  7. You can use Preview PDF to review the contents.
  8. Once finished, click Done.

Now, let's head back to the Estimate page. You’ll no longer see the Subtotal line at the bottom.

As for the Total line, it is a default item on the Estimate, and the option to remove it is currently available.

However, this suggestion can be shared with our product engineers for consideration in future updates.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Feedback.
  2. Type in your suggestions about restoring the notes.
  3. Then, submit your request.

Please don’t hesitate to add a reply below if you have further concerns.
