locking out user from itemlist account

Welcome to the Community. I can see the benefit of being able to lock out a user from the item list account in QuickBooks Desktop. The program is designed to help you streamline your accounting and I'll be happy to steer you in the right direction with this. 

QuickBooks allows you to edit users on your account, here's how: 

1. Sign in as the QuickBooks Admin.
2. Go to the Company menu, then select Setup Users and Passwords and then Set Up Users.
3. Highlight the user, then select Edit User.
4. Follow the Change User Password and Access wizard to remove sensitive reporting access.

you are telling me how to lock out a user in general. i already know how to do that.

my question is: how to lock out a user from the"item list" specifically!
