You can purchase a 3d party service to convert data from QB Online CA to QB Desktop CA. But I only recommend this route if you want to switch to QB Desktop for good. Otherwise, you will spend extra cost every year just to migrate your data to TurboTax.

Any suggestions of apps that work well to complete the QBO to QBDT easily?
Unfortunately I don’t have any intention of moving back to quickbooks desktop. The frustration is that Intuit does not appear to have invested in its Turbo tax incorporated software at all. The crazy thing is that for the most part people are using quickbooks for business BECAUSE they have to maintain books and records for tax purposes.
Can you explain the exact steps to follow in QB desktop?
am I importing? How do I restore?
I just need to have the necessary information to populate the tax returns. Once done, I’ll delete the desktop trial and hope that 12 months from now I wont have to do again.

One issue is that the steps you refer to in Turbo tax above are not what one see (or I see) in turbo tax for business incorporated. I had same issue when I spoke with someone online.
he kept saying click import, then click…
when I click file, I am seeing two option
Import from CSV or xlms and Import from Quickbooks.
QBO and TurboTax users in CA are not as fortunate as their US counterparts. Intuit does not offer any tools to convert data to QB Desktop CA version. You can follow the instructions given by MJ_R. Otherwise, purchase a 3rd party conversion service as I mentioned earlier.
