Multicurrency and 3rd party Project management app

Is anyone else stuck with the huge problem of QBO NOT allowing third party apps (I have a construction project management app) to sync the CDN amount on a US vendor? To the best of my knowledge, there is not a construction project management app that can handle multicurrency.  QBO should be able to sync over the CDN value but even though CDN is my home currency, and the vendor bill has both $ on it- the US amount, CDN amount and the exchange rate- QBO will not allow the sync to choose the CDN dollar value.

Therefore, the 3rd party app gets some bills synced in CDN (my CDN vendors) and some US but it treats it all as a single home currency.  Such a mess, and QBO has told me there is pretty much no hope in fixing this.

Just hoping there may be other in my boat and wondering about their experience.

Multicurrency and 3rd party Project management app

Hello jmkentel,

Welcome back to the Community. QuickBooks is designed to help you streamline your work using the powerful features offered in the program. Rest assured, I'll be happy to provide more info so you're on the right path.

The function you've described above isn't available in QuickBooks. I  can see the benefit of having this and I encourage you to send feedback about this to our engineers. You can do this by clicking on the Help menu and looking for Send Feedback Online.

In case you have additional questions, don't hesitate to reach back to me in the comments below. I'm here to help you achieve your QuickBooks goals.

Multicurrency and 3rd party Project management app

As should be clear in my post, I am fully aware that QBO doesn't allow this functionality- and I have been in talks with QBO engineers that have told me they don't see QBO ever addressing this issue. The canned answer

to put a request through the feedback button is maddening.

The purpose of my post was to see if anyone else has faced this issue - I was then hoping to have some dialogue on what workarounds other companies have tried.
