Taking a course which includes QuickBooks, online course and sometimes takes too long to get a response, so joined here.
So, very simple... click new, customer, add a new customer. Name and phone number, save and close. Done.
Customer shows up in customer list, active. Great.
Click Projects, start a new project, I click the customer drop down and I get a list of all customers in my company, except the one I just added.
I have made her inactive, then active again. Compared her customer info screen to the others in case I clicked something in error, and looks fine. Shut off QBO and cleared cache, started up again and again, all customers appear except the one I just added.
Any ideas?
Hey there THRobinson
Welcome to the QuickBooks Community! Thanks for reaching out to us here. Making sure you're able to see your customers in projects is important. I would be happy to provide some information.
It may be browsing data on your system that is preventing the software from doing what it is supposed to do. Here are some steps to resolve issues that are caused by browsing data:
If you're still unable to see your customer, I recommend reaching out to the support team outside of the Community. They'll be able to verify your account details in a secure setting, as well as view your screen to better assist you. They also have the necessary tools to create a ticket to get the issue resolved if they see fit. You can reach them by following one of these methods:
Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
Social Media: Facebook and Twitter
If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out here.
I ended up just going to the customer list, finding the customer and creating an invoice from there.
As soon as I finished/saved that invoice, the list populated.
I had cleared cache/cookies and tried both Chrome and Edge before doing this, so not a browser issue since what happens in Chrome shouldn't carry over to Edge.
Having a similar issue now, where I enabled PRICE RULES in settings, disabled, enabled again and saved, and when I go to SALES, PRICE RULES isn't an option. I wish my course had a copy of QB, because this QBO so far seems fickle.
Good morning THRobinson, I highly recommend reaching out to the support team outside of the Community. We'll be able to work directly with you to see what might be happening in your account. You can reach us by following one of the methods I've provided above.
You have clicked a link to a site outside of the QuickBooks or ProFile Communities. By clicking "Continue", you will leave the community and be taken to that site instead.
