No rate or units shown in Estimates or Invoices shared link

I can't get rate and units to show up on my invoices and estimates links.

I was on with a chat agent sharing screens for literally an hour and they could not solve this with me. I have to DL PDF's from inside my account and send to clients now, but this doesn't let me track activity on the invoice.

If I print or preview in my account, rate and units show up on the invoice and estimate.

When I send a link, they are not showing on the estimate you get when you click "show invoice" or "show estimate", even if you download the pdf.

When I am editing an invoice, I can chose a template and in the template setup, there they are - rate and units on each line.

But not on the link I send to clients.  This is terrible.  It looks bad to have big numbers without breakdowns.

PS took me 20 minutes to post this as I kept logging into the community forum, which kept rejecting my post with an error "authentication failed" but i got past that so never mind... and then got "post flooding detected" when I tried to add "Product" into the box at right grrrrr

Hi there Flick1,

Thanks for reaching out about your invoice forms. QuickBooks Online is a great tool able to help you keep track of invoices, payments and credits so you know the amount owed by your customers. I can provide some assistance with this issue with the columns not appearing.

One step to try if not done already would be to make sure browsing data isn't causing the error. These temporary files can accumulate in your browser, device and network and cause errors with information not appearing in any cloud-based software like QuickBooks Online. Here are some steps to try before logging back in and creating an invoice:

Another step to try would be to try going into the Gear icon, then Custom form styles. Click on the invoice template you use, and edit the columns to remove the missing information. Save the Template, then log out. Once back in. Go back to the Custom Form styles and add the information once more, and save. This can resolve errors similar to the one you're experiencing with missing information displayed.

If you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out here.

I'm not sure there's any point in trying all that as the help agent I shared screen with was seeing the same thing on their end I think.  I mostly work in the Safari web interface but tried many other ways.

I already tried making a blank template for invoices and estimates and starting over, that didn't solve it.

I also tried from the phone app, did not solve it.  And tried clicking a link from my phone email into a phone browser, that didn't work either.

I tried opening it in a private browsing window in Chrome, still saw the wrong invoice.

I actually did try editing the template to put hours and rates in the description, clicked a share link and it did not show up, then moved it back to its own columns.  Did not show up.  Both worked inside my account to see the invoice and estimate properly, but not in the share link to clients.

I also just now tried making a whole new estimate template from scratch, made a new estimate from it, and the rates and units did not show up in the share link.

I tried deleting them from the template, logging out, logging back in, adding them back, no luck.
