Modern browsers try to use your computer’s graphics card (GPU) to speed up page loading. Often, QuickBooks Online (QBO)'s heavy JavaScript conflicts with this, causing pages to "hang" until you force a refresh.
In Chrome/Edge:
- Go to Settings, then click System (or Performance).
- Toggle OFF the Use graphics acceleration when available or (Hardware acceleration).
- Relaunch the browser and open QBO again.
Also, QBO works best with the following recommended system and network requirements:
- Windows PC: Windows 10, Intel Core i5 or comparable processor (2015 or newer) with at least 4 GB of RAM.
- Mac: OS X "Big Sur" 11.1 or newer.
- Internet connection: 3 Mbps or higher.
However, QuickBooks will still operate on devices that meet minimum specifications.
