We are a church ( charitable organizatin ) in Ontario. One of our pastors gets a Housing Allowance of sorts --- something called a "clergy residence deduction". The Pastor got a letter from CRA authorizing us to reduce income tax deductions at source by lowering his taxable income. I attached a CRA-Calculator screenshot to illustrate the functionality. How do I replicate this functionality in QBO Payroll? I can override the deductions at runtime ( income tax, CPP, EI ) but there's got to be a better way, I hope. Thank you.

James,
There was a discussion thread on the clergy residence deduction over a year ago, but I now see the thread is deleted. Does Quickbooks Online Canada now have the ability to provide correct payroll deductions and T4's for clergy?
Hello djsaynor. Thanks for chiming in on this thread. The function for recording the housing allowance isn't available in QuickBooks. I recommend sending feedback about this to our engineers. To do this, click on the Gear icon and look for Feedback. In the meantime, feel free to ask other questions. I'm here to assist.
Same old story... very disappointing, especially with the sunsetting of the Desktop version.
