I opened my app 2 days ago and noticed many of my expenses were missing. I’m not sure what happened. I didn’t delete or change anything; they’re just gone. I tried restarting the app but it hasn’t been fixed. Has this happened to anyone else?

Thanks for trying that. Just to confirm, are you able to see the transactions in question when you log into your account using a web-browser instead of the mobile app?
Just checked through a web browser and the transactions are still missing. I tried using the search function to see if I could find them but there were no results when I typed in the name of the transaction. They have disappeared completely and even for the previous years also. So I'm missing transactions that go back all the way to 2018 when I started using the app.
I have not deleted anything, certainly not all those transactions in the last 5 years. Not sure what's going on.

I see. Just to confirm, are you logged into the right account using your username/email and password? Also, is there any other data that appears on the account?
Yes, I’m in the correct account (I’ve only got one). Also, some of my transactions are still there, but many have gone missing.
Thanks for checking that. At this point, I highly recommend getting in touch with our Self-Employed support team by tapping the + button and selecting Ask QB Assistant. From here a QB Self-Employed specialist will be able to get a closer look at your account and help point you in the right direction. Give this a try and let me know how you make out.
