Hello,
I use Quickbooks desktop Premier 2020.
The display of employee RL-1 (2019) seems fine.
But there is a problem printing them. The fields that are not printing correctly are the amounts in the boxes. (A to etc.)
I compared them with the ones printed last year.
The dollars and cents of an amount are determined by its position in a box.
The amounts in boxes (A to etc.) of RL-1 (2019) are definitely printed too much to the left.
I do not print the RL-1 (2019) for the moment. The critical updates received up to now did not solve the problem yet. I hope the fix will come soon.
Hello nativewit,
I know how important it is to make sure your forms are accurate and being submitted on time. Based on what you're describing, it would be easier to troubleshoot this one-on-one with an agent over the phone. For that reason, I recommend calling our support team.
With tools like a screen share and the ability to collect more details about your setup, a phone agent will be able to get you back to business much more quickly and let you know what your options are in the meantime if it's something we need to escalate to our engineering team. While the community is a great resource for how-to information and some troubleshooting tips, it's not built for in-depth troubleshooting in situations such as this. I want to make sure you get the proper support to resolve this.
Check out the Intuit QuickBooks Desktop software support policies article to learn how contact an agent that can help you with this further.
Have a great rest of your day!
Hello,
Thank you for the prompt reply and the great recommendations.
Yesterday, I called support for Quickbooks Premier 2020 concerning the RL-1 printing issue.
I have been told that they are working very hard on that issue.
All other printed reports including employee T-4 seems to be just fine.
Usually , the amount printed in any of the boxes of an employee RL-1 has a space between the dollars and cents and the amount is correctly aligned in the box.
Have a great evening!
Hello Laura AB,
The issue of the printing of RL-1(2019) has not been resolved yet for QuickBooks Premier 2020.
The fillable and printable RL-1 summary form is at https://www.revenuquebec.ca/en/online-services/forms-and-publications/current-details/rlz-1.s-v/
For now I am considering filling and printing RL-1 employee slips one by one directly from Revenu Quebec website at https://www.revenuquebec.ca/en/online-services/forms-and-publications/current-details/rl-1-t/ and mail it to the governement together with the RL-1 summary.
Do you have another recommendation?
Thank you very much !
Hello! I'm glad to hear you were in touch with support. Sometimes these issues take a little bit longer than expected to sort out, depending on how complicated they are. One option is certainly to complete the forms outside of QuickBooks while we're working on fixing this issue. As I mentioned, making sure you get your forms in on time is important, and if this would give you peace of mind, I encourage you to take those steps.
Hello LauraAB,
I am convinced that they are working very hard to solve the printing of Employee RL-1 (2019).
But today, I had no choice to fill and print RL-1 employee slips downloaded from the revenu Quebec site for one of my clients.
I hope the fix comes soon, because we also print RL-1 employee slips after using EFILE.
Thank you and good evening
It's good to hear you go that taken care of by doing it manually in the meantime. I assure you we'll get this taken care of as quickly as possible. Don't be afraid to ask more questions and I hope you have a great evening as well.
3 years passed and QuickBooks did not resolve the problem with RL-1.
I have the same issues each year. Quickbooks need to resolve this issues. I have to pay for a software with no french support and english phone support is terrible.
Samething this year
Thanks for joining in on this thread @RaymondB.
It's important to me that you're able to print your employee forms as expected, which is why reaching out to our team of support experts outside of the Community is the best course of action here. If you scroll up you'll see @LauraAB's response to the original poster, which lets you know how you can get in touch. If this issue hasn't already been reported, you'll be an important part of that reporting process and our agents will need to collect some account details and take some screenshots to properly escalate it. I'll be sure to pass this along on my end, but reporting the issue outside of the Community is the fastest way to get to the bottom of it.
I wish you all the best. Let me know if you need a hand with anything else.
