Quickbooks Time - projects not syncronizing

I've run into an issue and am not getting a response from QBO support staff.

2 days ago, any new projects created in QBO under an existing client have ceased to synchronize with Quickbooks Time.

This us with a situation where staff cannot record time for a given project, which really is the point with Time.  Anyone have any similar experiences or insights?

I want to help you out with this syncing problem with projects in QuickBooks Time. May I know if this is the first time it happened in your account? Also, have you tried adding projects in QuickBooks Time directly? Any information will help me check on this problem.


I haven't found any ongoing investigation for this problem yet. For now, you can try opening the account in a private window and see if it syncs properly. 


Unexpected issues in the program are mostly affected by the large data in the cache. This is because the regular browser will constantly accumulate history and will not remove it automatically.


The incognito mode will not save any history, so it's a great place to identify issues in the browser. Use these keyboard shortcuts to launch a new private window:


  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl Shift N  
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: press Command Shift N


If it works, clear the cache to resolve the issue in regular browsing. If not, I suggest contacting our Support Team to report the problem to our engineers so they can take a look at the issue for you.

I gave the private browser approach a whirl - no dice.


The new projects are visible in QBO, both online and via apps on my phone and tablet devices.

It is the update/sync to Time that is the issue - both for myself (on all platforms), and all members of my team.  This is a new issue as of this week, with the latest 3 projects being created not available for timekeeping in Time.  

I've tried to get in touch with support staff to no avail - if you have a contact/link/suggestion, I'm all ears.

It's vital all your time entries be correctly entered so that they can be correctly associated when importing to QuickBooks Online. QuickBooks Time is a great software able to help you keep track of the hours your employees have worked so you can then use them for payroll and invoicing purposes. I can point you in the right direction for assistance with QuickBooks Time.


For assistance with projects not appearing in your QuickBooks time software, you'd need to reach out to the QuickBooks Time support team. They'll be able to analyze your account to help you make sure your projects can be included in your Time subscription.
