This can be a data damage causing odd behavior in your QBDT. Let me help you troubleshoot this.
Too much temporary files can build up as you keep using QBDT and that's normal. What we need to do is remove those cached files through your local drive to ensure your QBDT reported data is displayed accurately by doing
verify and rebuild.
First, let's make sure to restart QBDT and close all open windows in your QBDT. Then, we'll verify your data:
- Go to File, then Utilities.
- Select Verify Data.
- Here's what to look for:
- If you see, QuickBooks detected no problems with your data, then we can look at other solutions.
- If you see a specific error message, try searching for it on our QuickBooks Desktop support site.
- If you see Your data has lost integrity, that means we need to rebuild your data.
If a rebuild is needed, here's what to do:
- Go to File, Utilities, and then Rebuild Data.
- QuickBooks will prompt you to back up your company file. Click OK and save the backup to a safe location. If asked to replace, select NO and give the backup a new file name.
- Once the backup is complete, the rebuild process will start automatically.
- You'll get a Rebuild has completed message when it's done. Click OK.
Furthermore, you can also
customize your reports in QuickBooks Desktop to personalize how you want your data to display.
