Creating products and services in QuickBooks Online is made simple with the no nonsense formatting and easy interface. QuickBooks Online is designed to meet all of your business needs, and it's important that you have the flexibility to organize your income in a way that works for you. I'd be happy to explain how you can set up a sub-account as your income account for a product or service.
Here's what you'll do:
1. Click the Sales tab on the left navigation menu.
2. Select Products and Services.
3. Click New.
4. Select Inventory, Non-Inventory, Service, or Bundle.
5. Fill out the necessary information.
6. From the Income account drop-down menu, click + Add New.
7. Check off the box that says "Is sub-account".
8. Enter the remaining information.
9. Click Save and Close.
