How do you get a screenshot of a very long receipt? What is the best practice that will get the best results?

Hi ayiraheart. Thanks for clarifying your goals for me. I see what you mean about wanting to attach your receipts to expenses, rather than invoices. Don't worry, you'll be able to do this easily.

The steps actually work the same way as James provided above, but rather than uploading your attachments to an invoice, you'd upload them to an expense. If you're trying to use the Receipt Scanning feature and your receipt is too long to capture, this is the best way to ensure your receipt is still stored digitally.

I hope this helps clarify things for you. If you're still unsure how to move forward, don't hesitate to reach back out.

Cheers!

Hi there,

Thanks for asking your question in the Community. It's important you're able to take a screenshot of the full receipt so you can upload it to QuickBooks.

Based on your description, the best way to upload a long receipt would be by attaching it to the invoice. You can take several screenshots of your receipt and attach them to the invoice. I'll attach an image below for visual reference:

This solution is based on the fact that the receipt is long and the info on it can't fit on one screenshot. If that's the case, please follow the steps above, otherwise, let me know if I'm missing something.

Feel free to ask other questions. I'm here to help. :)

I really appreciate the quick response and support.  I am currently not using the invoices and just want to put my receipts into my expenses.  I can easily do this with a shorter receipt but not with the longer ones.  I am very new to Quickbooks so I am just trying to figure this all out.

Thanks,
