My QBO payroll was synced to update and when that was done entries from 2022 when I converted to QBO online showed up on my bank rec. Can this be fixed? A JE possible?

The entries on my bank rec are causing outages in my bank acct, my payroll liabilities and my salary expense accounts. The problem is I can't backdate entries to 2022 to fix the expense accounts. How do I fix this when some entries are current date and others are not?

A Journal Entry (JE) is definitely a practical solution to address discrepancies involving payroll entries from 2022 that are impacting your bank reconciliation, Curator.

In QuickBooks Online Payroll (QBOP), payroll transactions are automatically recorded in specific accounts like payroll liabilities and payroll expense. These accounts ensure detailed tracking of wages, taxes, and other payroll-related amounts.

If these entries are really affecting your expense accounts, creating a Journal Entry (JE) can help correct the issue and make sure your financial accounts are accurately updated. However, I still recommend consulting your accountant before proceeding. They can provide expert guidance on identifying which accounts are impacted and accurately record adjustments if necessary.

Alternatively, if you prefer direct assistance, you can contact our Payroll Corrections Team who specialize in resolving payroll-related errors and discrepancies. To request their, follow the steps below:
