The machine that was installed with QuickBooks Premier 2016 was infected with ransomware. As a result, the data file was renamed with the ransom extension name. It looks like the file is there but I can't open the file because it says its corrupted.
If you're still unable to access the file, I'd recommend consulting an I. T expert. You can also reach out to your Anti-virus software support team to help you remove the virus from your computer.
