I get calls 2-3x a week on my cell phone and at my office from scammers claiming to be calling from Intuit. They call from a variety of numbers, but recently the numbers are all out of California. The message is similar though. It's a person with a heavy middle eastern accent and it goes something like this:
"Hi. This is Daniel. I'm calling from Intuit Quickbooks as we are getting a constant alert that Quickbooks is not receiving all the latest update and upgrade and it's not synchronizing with our servers which can cause data damage or corruption to your company file. To diagnose this issue, please give us a call back at 442-218-0883. Ask for my name, 'Daniel', extension 3993. Thank you."
The one time I accepted the phone call because they said they were with Intuit, they wanted to remote in to my computer using logmein, which I wouldn't allow.
I wanted to put the number and the message and the phone number they were leaving in the customer support community so that people would know that these guys are scammers and not to let them remote into your computer.
