I do not efile, but need to mail in the cra copies. Where do I find the summary for this?
Hi there, Mary. I appreciate you getting back to the Community. If you haven't EFILED your T4/RL-1 Summary slips, prepare the summary after printing. This summary consolidates annual employee earnings, deductions, and payroll taxes, ensuring reconciliation with source deduction payments remitted to the CRA or Revenu Québec.
To generate an accurate T4/RL-1 Summary report, review and print your slips first. Here's how:
Use the figures on the report to fill in your T4 or RL-1 Summary form. You can get the T4 Summary form from the CRA.
To ensure the T4 Summary aligns with your payroll data, compare it to the Payroll Summary Report under the Reports menu. This ensures that earnings, deductions, and taxes match your source deduction payments. For detailed assistance, you can refer to the article on T4 and RL-1 forms in QuickBooks Desktop.
