Hello
I am still having trouble updating the payroll for 2026
I have quick books pro 2024 and I use Windows 10
Do I need to upgrade to Windows 11 in order to get the updates?
Hi there, Mary53. To get the most out of the payroll features, ensure that your QuickBooks Desktop Pro (QBDT) account is fully updated.
Please note that the latest payroll tax tables are only available in QuickBooks Desktop 2024 or QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise Solutions 24.0. If you are not using tax table version 12234003, I recommend updating your QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release. Once you’ve updated to the latest release, you can download the latest payroll tax table update again to ensure you have the most recent version.
Additionally, after October 14, 2025, Windows 10 will no longer receive updates or support. While QuickBooks 2024 can run on it now, upgrading to a supported Windows version is recommended for data security.
If the issue continues despite updating QuickBooks and the payroll tax tables, I recommend contacting our Live Support team for further assistance.
Here’s how to reach them:
Before you reach out, check their support hours to make sure they are available.

Login to your CAMPS and check your license status. Is your Enhanced Payroll subscription still active?
I am having a problem updating. When I open quick books it says that there is an update, but, it will not fully complete.
I have trouble getting into camps. It takes me to the u.s. site.
My payroll subscription is active.
Hey there, @mary53. The CAMPs portal isn't available in your region and is only applicable in the U.S.
Since the issue persists when updating your QuickBooks Desktop, I recommend contacting our live support team to isolate the issue and locate the origin of the error.
If you have additional questions, please leave a comment below.
Yes, I remember last time I tried to get it, was looking for my license number etc. and I had to call in to get it.
Thanks
