Hi there edhoho,
Having copies of your transactions outside of QuickBooks Online is a great option for record-keeping, and having the easiest way to export those details is ideal. I can get you started with options you can consider for this process.
There are a few ways you can export data out of QuickBooks Online: using the built-in export and download features as well as considering third-party services like Fiat Lux has mentioned in their response. To start you off, you can review QuickBooks Online's export options here: Export reports, lists, and other data from QuickBooks Online
For transactions specifically, you may want to consider alternate methods depending on the level of detail you're looking for. For instance, if you're simply hoping for a list of transactions, you can use a Transaction List report through the Reports tab to export those lists to an Excel file. If you're looking for more detail, however, you'll want to consider downloading the transactions one at a time. You can do this by visiting the Sales and Expenses tabs, clicking a transaction, selecting Print or Preview, then downloading the file from the Print Preview window. In this case, the file would be a PDF.
I know this would potentially mean a lot of extra work for you, especially if you have a lot of transactions. This is where third-party tools can come in handy. You can find various transaction exporting tools in the Apps tab of your QuickBooks Online account. In that tab, you can use keywords like "export" to see what apps are available for you to consider.
If you'd like to share feedback with our product development team about the options available in QuickBooks Online, use the steps outlined here: How do I submit feedback? We're always looking for new ways to innovate the program and your input helps us achieve that.
