Hi Gcrocker,
Thanks for taking the time to connect with us here. QuickBooks is a versatile program that makes it easy for you to keep track of your transactions. I'll be happy to provide more info and make sure you're on the right track.
To get started, it's important to note that QuickBooks downloads 90 days worth of transactions. You'll have to manually upload any transactions that go beyond the 90 days. Here's a helpful article that shows you how to:
Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.
I encourage you to go through that article and if you have questions, don't hesitate to reach out to me. I'll be one message away in case you need help with anything else. Have a great rest of the week!
Thanks, I’ve gone into my bank account and see where I can download the data. However, I don’t remember how far back it’s been since my last update. How do I prevent duplicates from showing up?
I see. The allows you to enter specific date ranges when importing your transactions. Transferring the appropriate date ranges prevents you from dealing with duplicate transactions. In case you come across duplicate transactions, you can delete them by following the steps below:
1. Navigate to the Banking menu.
2. Click on the For Review tab.
3. Select the checkbox of the transactions to exclude.
4. Hit Exclude.
Let me know if this info helps. I'll be here.
Ok, so is there a way to see my last bank transaction in quick books to see roughly what date I should go back to?
Hi Gcrocker,
Thanks for getting back to us here. To ensure you don't download duplicate transactions in QuickBooks Online, follow these steps;
1. From Settings ⚙ in the top right of your dashboard, select Chart of Accounts
2. Locate the account in your list and select Account History to the far right
3. Write down the date of the Last Transaction
