How can I add "Checking" to the drop down?

Hello Shaunwis. 

 

If the Checking option is not showing up in the Deposit To dropdown on the mobile app, it means your account is not set up as a Bank account in your Chart of Accounts. We will need to create a new bank account directly on the QuickBooks Online website to fix that.


Here are the steps:

 

  1. Go to (the Gear icon) located in the upper-right corner of the screen.
  2. Then, select Chart of Accounts from the menu under the Your Company heading.
  3. Once the chart is displayed, click the New button found in the top-right area.
  4. After that, choose Bank as the Account Type. This designation is necessary for the account to be available for deposits.
  5. Following this, select Checking as the Detail Type.
  6. Enter your desired account name.
  7. Finally, click Save and Close.
