Thanks for reaching out to us about your invoice payment options in QuickBooks Online, @jbutler5.
I want to make sure you're able to get the information you need about disabling certain payment methods. Please know that when you enable QuickBooks Payments or online payments, the options for credit card is set by default. At the moment, there isn't a way to disable it, so you'll need to uncheck the option as you process the invoice.
You can also manually adjust the invoice by manually adding the convenience fee. Just in case, I'm adding the steps here to add the convenience fee item:
If you want to include the interest on the existing invoice, here's how:

This is terrible. Shows Intuit is trying to grab credit card fees from customers. Users should be able to turn off credit card payments by default

Figures, not way to do the thing everyone wants to do--typical Intuit.
Maybe we could afford to take credit cards if it were not for the eyewatering cost of QBO, lol. QBO lost 2 of my 3 companies and I cut my monthly cost from $180 to $80. Still too much, but have to keep the last company alive for a few months.
The most cost-effective competitor to QBO is QuickBooks Pro 2020. Not sure why I ever switched, just dumb.
Would I manually reconcile my bank account and manually do payroll on 1 employee (myself) to save $2000+ per year? Heck yeah! QBO prices themselves out of the market for small business, and is not adequate for large business (inventory item limits make it unusable). No wonder everyone keep using "legacy" desktop.
