How to make intercompany transfer

Hi there,

Sometimes it's necessary to transfer your data from one company to another. QuickBooks Self-Employed is an easy to use program made for business owners like yourself. QB Self-Employed offers a variety of features which help you streamline your work. I'd be glad to give you a hand with transferring your data.

To accomplish what you've described, you'll have to manually export and import your data from one account to the other. You can export your transactions/data into a CSV file using the methods below:

Method 1: Run financial reports

  1. In QuickBooks Self-Employed, go to the Reports menu.
  2. Find the report you want to download.
  3. Select the time period or tax year from the dropdown.
  4. Select View or Download.
  5. Select the arrow icon ▼ and then the Print or Download.

Method 2: Download your transactions

  1. Go to the Transactions menu.
  2. Use the TypeAccount, and Time period ▼ dropdowns to sort the transactions.
  3. Select the Export icon. Note: Receipts aren't exported. You can download them from specific transactions. Or go to the Reports menu and download all of your receipts for specific tax years.

Note: If you need to make changes or reorganize your transactions, it's best to do it in QuickBooks Self-Employed. Once you've exported the info, you can import your data to another account using the steps in this article here.  Some info such as categories, won't show up correctly if you're importing transactions. You'd need to recategorize your transactions after you import.

Feel free to let me know how you make out by leaving a comment below. Otherwise, if you need direct and immediate, I recommend contacting our support team using this link here.

Have a great rest of your week!
