Can I adjust which months are in each GST report? I need June , July and August together in one report but it gives July to September

Hi there and welcome to the Community,

I know how important it is to be able to customize a report so that you can view the exact data that you need. With QuickBooks Self-Employed you'll have a few options and I'm happy to go over them with you.

In QuickBooks Self-Employed the tax year runs from January 1st to December 31st. While viewing the Taxes tab or the Tax summary report you'll have the ability to choose which tax year you'd like to view, as well as print, download, or email the data which can then be manipulated using Excel. To do this, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the Reports tab.
  2. Find the Tax summary report.
  3. Use the dropdown to select the appropriate tax year.
  4. Use the final dropdown on the right to either ViewPrintDownload, or Email the report.

You won't have the option to select a specific date range such as July to September to view using this report, so I encourage you to submit feedback so our product development team knows how important this feature would be. Navigate to the Assistant in the upper right corner, type and enter "feedback", then use the prompts to have your voice heard.

If you'd prefer to use a small-business accounting software with more options for report customization, I encourage you to consider upgrading from QuickBooks Self-Employed to QuickBooks Online. You'll have the ability to specify the start of your tax period as well as your filing frequency, and can use a custom date range to view data within a variety of sales tax reports. If these features are important to you, I know you'll love all of the other new features you'll get to use as well.

If there are any other questions that pop up, don't hesitate to reach out. I'm here to help!
