Hi info@auroraelec.

It's great to hear that you're using QuickBooks Online Payroll to pay your employees. Generally, when you see this error, the wrong account has been selected in your Accounting Preferences. Don't worry. I'll guide you down the right path.

Follow these simple steps to check your chosen accounts:

  1. Go to the Gear Icon.
  2. Select Payroll Settings.
  3. Under Preferences, select Accounting. Review the accounts you have chosen and ensure that the Liability account selected is a Liability account.

Here's an article if you'd like to read more on setting them up: Payroll preferences.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out. Have a good evening!
