How can I print a sales report with the type of payment? We offer terms or credit card.

Hi there, 


Thanks for taking the time to post your question here in the Community. I'll show you how you can customize your sales reports to include the type of payment.

 

QuickBooks Online comes stocked with tons of great sales reports. To find them, click the Reports tab on the left menu, then scroll down until you see a section for Sales and Customers. It sounds like you're looking to see which method of payment your customers used when paying for their invoice. 

Most of the reports listed here can be customized to include a Payment Method column. For the sake of this example, I've pulled up the Sales by Customer Detail Report. The amount of customization options are vast, as you can filter the data for specific date ranges and customers. This is one of the best things about the reports in QuickBooks Online. They're created to be flexible as your business needs fluctuate. 

 

To add a column for Payment Method, click the small gear icon above the report. Click Show More, then check off the box next to Payment Method. Now your report will contain a column that displays the method of payment. 

 

That's all there is to it. I think keeping track of how your customers pay you is an ideal way to stay updated on your business health.
