How do i create a statement?

Hello pdrtech-mts-net,

Creating customer statements is a great way to keep your customers up-to-date with the transactions they have with you. I see that you've tagged QuickBooks Self-Employed as your product and I can absolutely go over the options for you in that version of the software.

QuickBooks Self-Employed is the most stripped-down version of QuickBooks. With this edition, you can easily invoice your customers while also accounting for expenses, taxes, and even mileage. It doesn't have the same organizational structure as other versions of QuickBooks, such as customer profiles and lists. In light of that, creating a statement in QuickBooks Self-Employed isn't an available feature at this time.

There are a couple of options for making sure your customers have the transaction information they need. One would be to resend the invoices or send invoice reminders through the program. You can do this by navigating to the Invoices page and then clicking the downward arrow beside the invoice in question to choose to Send Receipt or Send Reminder. Please note that this will send individual transactions in separate emails to your customer.

The second option would be to manually create a statement outside of QuickBooks using Word or some other program. You could then send it to your customer via your email provider or print it out to give to them.

I know having a built-in feature would make this process easier and save you time, so I recommend sharing feedback with the product development team. Here's how you can do that when using QuickBooks Self-Employed.

  1. Click the Assistant feature.
  2. Type and enter "feedback."
  3. Follow the prompts.

Comments from users like you help as we continue to grow and evolve the program, so don't hesitate to let us know what you think!

If built-in statements are something you're interested in using right away, you can consider switching to QuickBooks Online, which does have that as a feature. Here are a couple of links to help with your decision.

I hope this information has been helpful for you! Enjoy your day.
