How do I delete multiple accounts I accidentally set up

Hello Karen!

 

It sounds like you've made the easy mistake of creating a duplicate account or two while trying to log in to QuickBooks Online. It happens, but it's important that we get the additional accounts sorted out so that you can get back to business using the account you've subscribed to. Let me explain.

 

If you've signed up for the additional accounts using the same login credentials, you should login to QuickBooks using your internet browser on a computer and see a list of companies. To cancel the additional companies, simply determine which ones are duplicate and select them to sign in. Then you'll want to follow these steps:

 

  1. Hit the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Account and Settings.
  3. Navigate to the Billing & Subscription tab on the left.
  4. Locate the tile for your QuickBooks subscription and hit Cancel subscription or Cancel online. If you're on a 30-day trial you can choose Cancel trial.
  5. Follow the prompts onscreen to complete the cancellation.

 

The same steps should be followed if you've used different email addresses or login credentials to create the duplicate accounts, but you'll just want to sign in to the additional accounts first, using the appropriate credentials. If you've subscribed through the Apple App Store or the Google Playstore, the steps to cancel can be found in the article below. You'll have to cancel your subscription directly through the mobile app store that you used to subscribe.
