Hi james-park-solid, it does cause a bit of a problem having transactions that you do not want to see pop out. I'll be more than happy to assist you with deleting transactions that you do not want to see to balance your books. To get started, are you using QuickBooks Online or Self-Employed?
I want to make sure that this is sorted out so that your accounts are balancing as they should in QuickBooks Online. I can help you with getting this issue with the deleted transactions sorted out so that you don't have duplicates amounts in your COGS.
When you delete a transaction in QuickBooks Online, it should remove the entry entirely from your books in most cases. There are certain circumstances where the deletion of something will create an adjustment in an account to counteract and rebalance your books, however, this shouldn't duplicate the numbers.
There are also a number of variables that could be at play here, so it's best to have the details of what's happening in your account, the steps you took to delete transactions, and how you're seeing the changes reflected in your books. In this case, you'd benefit from having a one-on-one conversation with a member of our team, so I recommend reaching out using one of the options below.
Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right in QuickBooks Online > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
We're here to help you figure this out as quickly as possible. Don't hesitate to give us a shout!
Hello @james-park-solid ,
Could you elaborate a little on what you are asking? What report? Why and which transactions were deleted? The more details you can provide about your situation, the quicker and easier it will be for someone to help you.
