Hello randyharris50,
QuickBooks Online offers a variety of reports to help you see your bookkeeping data in various ways, and it's good to see you're exploring the reports available to you. It sounds like you have the Transaction Detail by Account report in mind specifically, and I can explain why you may not be seeing that option in your books.
As I just mentioned, there are a number of different reports available in the program, and when you're not seeing the kind of report you're looking for, the first step is to consider what QuickBooks Online subscription plan you have. The Transaction Detail by Account report is available on the Essentials and Plus level subscriptions, so if you have QuickBooks Online EasyStart, that's why you're not seeing it. This is a helpful reference for reports: What are the differences in report features among QuickBooks Online subscriptions?
If you do have Essentials or Plus, I recommend troubleshooting steps like clearing your cache, trying a private browser, or trying another browser type to see if it's simply a display issue that QuickBooks Online is having that's causing you to not see the report. If you're using EasyStart, you can consider upgrading if it's a good fit for your needs overall, or you can consider other reports that may get you the information you're looking for.
I see that @sunaina1 has a suggested report for you with the Profit and Loss report, however it looks to me like they may be using a different regional version of QuickBooks since the Business option they have in the Display columns by field is not something that's available for QuickBooks Online Canada. This is true even if you switch between business and accountant view for the program.
Another option is to find a report that somewhat works and then export it to Excel to manipulate the data the way you'd like. Our article Run reports in QuickBooks Online includes steps on how to export a report if you need it.
Otherwise, I welcome you to submit feedback about this to our product development team using these steps: How do I submit feedback? The comments left there are forwarded to our product team for consideration as QuickBooks continues to evolve. For your reference, here is our page about new features in the program: QuickBooks Online Feature and Product Updates
I'll be around if you have further questions. :)
