when we purchase a product, we create a code. the first 2 digits is the "family", after the dash is the actual item.

generally, we go to "list", then duplicate an existing code (saves a lot of duplicate typing), then alter the code and description where necessary and save the result

I see, thank you for clarification as per checking base on the information you provided unfortunately we don't have way to categorized on the report you are referring. In order to categorized an item we need to create a main item with sub-items of the main item to categorized. The main item will acts us the categories/group of the sub-items.

Thanks for waiting. To create a sub item, when creating an item there is a checkmark to inform that the item you are creating is a sub item of an item. You can use it to your actual item but make sure to create the main item first.
