I am trying to post a Journal Entry that is the same entry I do at every month end but it wont post because of the below message. Any ideas? The entry and taxes are all in balance....
Were sorry, QuickBooks encountered an error while calculating tax. Try reselecting the tax rate or reentering the product/service item and saving the form again.

Journal Entries are a great way to correct account balances or transactions in your QuickBooks Online account. I'd be happy to help you get them entered into your account.
When running into errors in QuickBooks Online the best thing to start with is clearing your cache and cookies. This is due to QuickBooks Online relying on your browser health to make sure it runs properly. Once you clear the cache and cookies it's recommended to try opening QuickBooks Online in a private browser such as Google Chromes Incognito mode or another internet browser all together.
If you continue to have issues with creating the journal entry and receive the same error I suggest checking to make sure your sales tax codes are set up correctly. You can check how to set up and use sales tax codes here.
If after trying these steps you still get an error while assigning sales tax to a journal entry I suggest contacting our support team using one of the methods below.

I have the same issue. Followed your steps to see if problem would go away, but no luck. You suggest chat, well I've been there twice today and got hung up on. Is there anything new that you can share to resolve this issue?
