Merging accounts for a report
I sell on Amazon Walmart and eBay
On my Pl I have a revenue account separate for each marketplace. There is a separate COGS account for each marketplace and a separate shipping expense for each one.
I would like to customize a report the can pull all 3 accounts for each Marketplace in to one group so that I can see the net profit by marketplace.
It should like this:
Amazon
Income (top section of PL)
COGS (from the COGS section)
Shipping (from bottom section)
Net
Walmart
Income (top section of PL)
COGS (from the COGS section)
Shipping (from bottom section)
Net
Hi the controller NJ,
Using the right report helps you keep an eye on your bottom line. QuickBooks Desktop has various reports that you can customize to suit your needs. Let me show you how to get a report individualized just for you.
Finding the correct report is crucial to getting the result you're looking for. The Profit and Loss report by job has the Jobs/Customers in Columns.
You can take a look at these articles for detailed information on what you can change on your reports:
Once you get your report customized, you can have it memorized, so you won't have to recreate the same report each time.

Thank you for your response.
I have been using QBs for over 8 years so I am fairly familiar with the reports.
Do you have a suggestion how to accomplish the goal that I am trying to reach?
What is unique here is that each account that is under a marketplace is to a different vendor-name and job.
Income is Amazon, COGS is someone else and shipping is the shipping company.
I was thinking to make a separate class for each marketplace, but is there a simpler idea?
Please let me know.
Thanks for clarifying that for me. It sounds like that's the best option to set the report up the way that you want. You'll then have the ability to Filter, sort or total reports by Class.
You can always reach back out if you need any other assistance. Have a great day!
