Thanks for touching base with us here. When you have extensive accounts, you can stay organized by assigning account numbers, in QuickBooks Online. In addition, you can edit the account information effortlessly. I would be happy to show you how!
Follow these steps to edit an account and enter an account number;
1. Open your Settings ⚙ and select Chart of accounts
2. In the Search field, enter Exchange gain or loss
3. Use the ▼ dropdown menu in the Action column to select Edit
4. Enter the desired number, then hit Save and close.
