Hi dr15,
Welcome to the QuickBooks Online community. From what you've described, it sounds like you're an app developer hoping to integrate your app with QuickBooks. That's cool! It's always great to see what new things people such as yourself come up with to expand what the program can do for business owners. I'll do what I can to help point you in the right direction.
I'm happy to report that with QuickBooks Online, it is possible to import invoices. This is one of the newer features that's been added this year to the program as we know many users have been asking for it. I can't, however, speak to whether you'd be able to see this in a sandbox account.
Because of that, I'd like you to reach out to Intuit Developers. You can find help and support on the Intuit Developer website or by getting in touch at IntuitDeveloperRelations@intuit.com. Those two sources are your best options for getting help for this scenario.
Stop by again if you have more QuickBooks questions! I hope you enjoy the rest of your week.
thx laura, you are right ... there is an option to import transactions into canadian sandbox company.
found "import data" option under "settings" button, instead of "import" option under "transactions" menu.
just was bothered with "square" leading to nowhere / error when i clicked it ... probably as it is not installed for me!
regards!
You're welcome. I'm glad you were able to find the setting in your sandbox account. As for Square, knowing more about the error and what steps you're taking would be helpful. It may very well be that it's because it isn't installed. Once you've verified it's installed or go through installing it, if you're still having trouble, I recommend reaching out via the support options I outlined in my last message. Since it's a sandbox account, it may work a differently than a standard QuickBooks Online account. That support team should be able to point you in the right direction! :)
hi laura again,
i was able to import single-line and multiline invoices from spreadsheet without problem using mentioned "import data" option.
but now stuck with doing the same thing via zapier. i'm able to transfer single-line transactions, but not able to transfer multi-line transactions.
what format should be that spreadsheet ...
should i open another topic / issue for this or continue in this spot ?!
thx
Great job with the progress you've made so far. Since this is still working within the developer side of things, I recommend opening a thread over on the Intuit Developer website. Here's a link directly to the community page: Intuit Developer Support Home. Other developers and developer support agents are there and will be able to offer more specific guidance for these processes.
I hope that helps!
