Direct billing customers.

Welcome to the Community! Having the ability to accept payment in various ways makes it easier for businesses to receive prompt payment from customers. I can shed some light on your options when using QuickBooks Online Payments.

 

QuickBooks Online Payments allows you to process customer credit cards directly through the program. Additional details about QuickBooks Payments can be found here: Accept Credit Cards & Payments Online

 

At this time, direct billing cannot be processed directly through QuickBooks Online. With that being said, you may be able to utilize 3rd party applications that are compatible with QuickBooks Online in order to accomplish this. You can search for integrated apps by going to Apps on the left hand menu. From there you can browse various payment processing apps to see if there are any that allow you to direct bill to your customers. 

 

I also recommend submitting Feedback to our software development team. They take the feedback received from customers into consideration when preparing updates and new features. QuickBooks Online has an awesome Merchant Service Add On to your QuickBooks Online subscription that provides automatic payments.

With automatic payments, you can keep customer billing information stored securely and set up recurring bills so it's less hassle for your customers and you get paid on time.

To apply for merchant service you can do right inside your QuickBooks Online product by selecting:

* Gear
* Account and Settings
* Payments
