Hi judcavener.

Making sure your QuickBooks Online account works the way it was intended is one of our main focuses. I'd be happy to help you get this resolved.

Modifying an invoice in QuickBooks Online is a quick process that is made to help you add your own personal touch to each transaction. If the custom columns have been removed and not working the way they were before could be due to your browser health. This can sometimes happen when your cache and cookies become damaged or corrupted but no need to worry. You can clear these out by following the steps in this link. Once they are cleared it's recommended to close the internet browser and open QuickBooks again in a private browser such as Google Chromes Incognito mode or another browser all together. You can also try a different computer to make sure it isn't an updated security setting that could be causing the issue.

Once you get back into your QuickBooks Online account it's best to make sure that your custom columns and fields are set up correctly by following the steps in this article.

If you have any questions feel free to reach back out and we'd be happy to help!
