Using QBO Accountant Version- Essentials
Hi!
I have a client using a third party app to record their transactions and payments (Opus time). Unfortunately the syncing is spotty at best and their support leaves a lot to be desired.
My question is, what is the most efficient way to import hundreds of monthly invoice payments into QBO? Due to the nature of the business, most invoices are not paid in full, but paid in pieces (Partial Insurance, Partial out of pocket etc).
Thanks!
Hi there B_Marcil,
Thanks for reaching out to the Community for advice and suggestions on the best way to import payments!
Have you heard of QuickBooks Payments? Using Payments is a great option, as you can process invoice transactions directly from your QuickBooks Online account. You wouldn't have to worry about using a third-party program to incorporate them into QuickBooks Online.
I'd recommend exploring the Payments service for your business needs. Take a look here for more information about it: Accept payments online.
You can also take a look at this article for more details: QuickBooks Payments Deposits FAQ.
If you have any questions about Payments and QuickBooks Online, don't hesitate to ask. I'm sure other Community members will also chime in with some advice on accepting Payments in QuickBooks Online.
Have a great day!
This is not an option. I need to find a way to import paid invoices.
Thanks for letting us know, B_Marcil. It's important that you find the service that works for you regarding importing your invoices and their payments. At this time, there isn't a built-in function for importing invoice payments. While you can import invoices, manually adding the associated payments is the way to go to make sure everything is entered correctly. I'll include a few articles for you below that explain the options.
Otherwise, I encourage you to check out what other apps are available that can help you with importing your invoices and payments. Using the Apps tab allows you to search for what's available in that realm.
Here are the articles I mentioned. Don't hesitate if you have more questions!
hi @B_Marcil ,
Utilize the trial period of a 3rd party data migration tool to import invoices and payments into your QBO account.
