You may need another 3rd party app to accept credit/debit card payments.
Hi mikeliambas-gmai,
I'm glad to hear you're taking advantage of QuickBooks Payments to easily process your customers' payments online. Knowing which currencies and countries your payment system accepts is important. I'll be happy to share more on this.
QuickBooks Online Payments is available for Canadian currency transactions and enables your customers to pay via Visa, Mastercard, Discover cards, and Apple Pay. Feel free to review this article for more details on that: QuickBooks Online Payments overview
At this time, the Payment feature isn't available on multi-currency invoices, including USD, nor can it process US currency credit cards. As a workaround, you can explore using a third-party app in the Apps menu of your QuickBooks account or another service provider outside of the program. While this won't offer the exact same options of being able to click through the invoice to pay, it will make sure that you're able to accept payments from your customers regardless of their currency.
I know how handy it would be for QuickBooks Payments to process a variety of credit cards from different countries, and I invite you to submit feedback to our engineers to share your thought on that. Your comments are crucial in driving innovation to offer the best QuickBooks experience we can.
Have a great day!
It's ridiculous that it does not accept USD payments.
You should fix that.
Is this response still accurate? It's been 2 years. Surely, QBO can work with USD invoices by now?
No. You still need to use a 3d party solution to do so.
This is the stupidest thing. Pretty sure Quickbooks is actually an AMERICAN company....but my US customers can't pay me online.
Actually had an online help call with them today...asked if there was a "higher level subscription I needed"....(cause you know how they are)...but NOPE.
