It's a pleasure to see you here! I can understand the benefit of being able to see the details of your recurring transactions in QuickBooks Online. I would be glad to help!
I recommend the Recurring Transaction List. It includes customization options, as with any other report, so you can filter it to your specific needs. Here's how to locate it;
1. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Recurring transactions, under Lists
2. Click on the Filter ▼ dropdown menu and choose the Template type, Transaction type and Location
3. Hit Apply
4. Click on the ▼ dropdown beside Reminder list and select Run report
5. Open the report Settings ⚙ to choose additional filters, such as Memo/Description

Thank you for the quick reply. However, the only option on the filter are Transaction Type and Template Type. The only option on the gear icon is the number of rows.

Thanks for getting back to me with the outcome. I've reviewed the steps on my end and get the same result when I choose my filters as outlined above. However, after I hit Apply, then click on the ▼ dropdown beside Reminder list and select Run report, this is where you'll select the small ⚙, to choose the additional filters.

Ah, I did miss a step, but still even when I get the report and select the gear for more display options, the memo/description (which would be helpful) column remains blank because the memo/description that I need to see is a line item on the invoices. So I need a more detailed report showing the actual items. The report is just a template list, but has insufficient details.

Thanks for getting back to us here. Although we want to ensure the least amount of steps are taken to accomplish your QuickBooks goals, I do have a workaround if this is something you're willing to try for now. You can enter the line items in the 'message on statement' field, then run the report suggested above. The line items will show on the report. However, I do encourage you to submit feedback by heading to the "Gear" icon and selecting the "Feedback" option. These comments are viewed and considered by our developers as they create new features and updates for QuickBooks.

That won't work - it is based on manual entries, not actual data and I need actual data. At least I know this just isn't something available at the moment.

Thank you for understanding that this is a product limitation at this time. However, I am sure that other QuickBooks customers who also review this thread, would be happy to see this feature enhancement available in a future update. For this reason, submitting recommendations to our QuickBooks engineers is valuable, as it will become prioritized when others submit the same request.
