How do i add discount on an invoice under quick books self employed package?

I can see how QuickBooks Self-Employed would be an easy-to-use solution for tracking invoicing with clients of a photography business. QuickBooks Self-Employed is designed to keep things as simple as possible. The invoicing and expensing features provide the basics of these functions so that you can record your transactions. At this time, there isn't a built-in discounting option, but here is a solution you can consider.

For this option, what you'd do is add another line to the invoice, label it Discount, and then attribute a negative number to it. It'd look something like this.

For my test, I had a $150 charge and gave my customer a 10% discount. I manually noted in the description that it's a 10% discount, then entered the negative dollar figure in the Amount field. To make sure that the sales tax is calculated on the full $150 charge, I turned off the sales tax calculation for the discount amount.

All it takes to do this is add the first line, click Add to invoice, then select Add work to add another line. Pretty simple, right?
