Hello userbjmurf. It's important you're able to export transactions out of QuickBooks Self-Employed and I'll be happy to show you how. Here are the steps you'll need to follow:

  1. Go to the Transactions menu.
  2. Use the TypeAccount, and Time period ▼ dropdowns to sort the transactions.
  3. Select the Export icon. Note: Receipts aren't exported. You can download them from specific transactions. Or go to the Reports menu and download all of your receipts for specific tax years.

Just in case you need to export reports as well, here's how:

  1. In QuickBooks Self-Employed, go to the Reports menu.
  2. Find the report you want to download.
  3. Select the time period or tax year from the dropdown.
  4. Select View or Download.
  5. Select the arrow icon ▼ and then the Print or Download.
