Hi there,

Glad to have you join the Community. It's essential that you're able to transfer your data from Joist to QBO.

I want to make sure transferring the info is seamless. I recommend reaching out to Joist Support to check what your export options are. If you're able to export your data I recommend checking out the resources below. The articles will walk you through how to import that data to your QBO account.

Let me know if you have questions. I'm here to help. :)

I am a Joist user also, and would like to sync it with Quickbooks BUT I use QB Self-Employed. WHEN will QB Self-Employed be fully supported for Joist Sync, so all my invoices and accounting can be integrated? QB sync is fully supported by Joist at no extra cost to me, but I can’t use it because you put a walled garden around Self-Employed users which severely limits us (and our future growth with QB products, because there’s no easy migration path from QBSE to any other QB product/service. SOMEBODY at Intuit must be working on this problem to solve it, shouldn’t they???

Hello Pocket_Handyman,

I hear what you're saying about being able to sync with third-party programs to make doing your bookkeeping even easier. As you know, at this time, QuickBooks Self-Employed doesn't have third-party apps it connects with. I'm happy to share your feedback with my team as the product development department is constantly looking for ways to evolve the program.

I see in the Joist community that QuickBooks Online is a supported integration. Because of that, I encourage you to also touch base with Joist to see if they're interested in integrating with QuickBooks Self-Employed as well. While Self-Employed doesn't have an Apps section like Quickbooks Online does, there may be third-party integrations that might be possible. In these situations, the integration would be done through the Joist system rather than through QuickBooks. Here's where I found the information about Joist syncing with QuickBooks Online: What is Joist <> QuickBooks?

Thanks again for you feedback on this matter. We always appreciate user input!
